Hi friends, It is time for this week's book review.   For a few weeks we are going to be enjoying a collection of stories in one book about Charlie the Ranch Dog.  There are 5 stories in this particular book featuring one of my favorite dogs, Charlie.   Charlie is a Basset Hound and he is hilarious.   Charlie lives on a ranch and is an official ranch dog!  We are going to really enjoy reading his stories.  The name of this week's story in the book is Where's the Bacon?    The story is written by Ree Drummond and illustrated by Diane deGroat . I love my girlfriend, Faith.   My mom actually calls us the twins.   We aren't twins, but we do everything together.   Friends are wonderful.   Reading is great whether you read by yourself or read with a friend.   This week's story is about friends - new friends. In the beginning of the story, Charlie finds there is a guest dog staying at...

Hi friends, It is time for this week's book review.   The name of this week's book is For Every Dog An Angel .   The story is written and illustrated by Christine Davis . You know every week I write a book review about a children's book.   The book review is written for adults to share with the special kids in their lives.   This week I am doing something a little different.   The book I am reviewing is written more for adults but is something for all of us, young and old, who have a special dog.   The book starts out with a puppy being born.   The puppy gets old enough to leave its mother and goes to live with its new special family.   We have all had that experience.   When I was born, I had 5 brothers and sisters.    My humans took care of us all and five families came over and my brothers and sisters went to live with those 5 new special families.   My humans ...

Hi friends, It is time for this week's book review.   The name of this week's book is  Pete the Cat and the Cool Cat Boogie .   The story is written and illustrated by  Kimberly & James Dean . Have you read any of the Pete the Cat books?  They are wonderful.  I have a favorite one and it is Pete the Cat and the Cool Cat Boogie.   Cats are really cool.  I actually have 4 of them and pretty much consider myself a cat expert.   Pete the Cat reminds me of my cat, Rembrandt Blue.  Pete the Cat is blue and my cat, Rembrandt Blue, is a blue point Siamese.   Rembrandt Blue is really a cool cat too.  He is a pretty mild mannered cat just like Pete the Cat.  Pete the Cat and the Cool Cat Boogie  is a story about how much Pete loves to dance.  The problem is, Pete doesn't know how to dance.  Everyone Pete the Cat met told him he was dancing all wrong.  Pete the Cat was bumme...

Hi friends, It is time for this week's book review.   The name of this week's book is Interrupting Chicken .   The story is written and illustrated by David Ezra Stein . Last week my book review was also a chicken story.  Here we are this week with another chicken story.   I love chickens.  It is that simple.  They are fun little pets and they give me eggs for my breakfast.  Yeah.   Eggs are yummy.   This week's book, Interrupting Chicken, is about a little red chicken that interrupts her Papa when he is reading her bed time stories.   I have 2 red chickens.  Really, it is true.  If you look closely, you can see them behind me in this photo.  The first one is Tribble and the one behind her is Dr. Pepper.   They are two of my most favorite chickens.   I have nine.   That's not counting my new chicks!   Let's move on to our book review and stop me...
