Bling and Bliss thankful for the dog show
We are so thankful for being able to head out of town and go to the dog show in Houston. The little things, such as attending a dog show, we had taken for granted and we now see through clearer eyes.

I appreciate the time the show committees have taken during these tumultuous times to organize the shows. I appreciate the judges who, under adverse conditions, have taken on judging assignments. Let's not overlook the American Kennel Club whose staff records all the results. In the midst of the current crazy life swirling around us, we are all taking measures to remain safe and keep others around us safe.
It has been so much fun to get our puppy, Bliss, out and teach her the fun of dog showing. Bling, who is now 8 years old, was entered as a veteran. We don't want her to feel overshadowed by the pup. So, se decided to enter her in the show too. Bling couldn't wait to get on the grooming table. Bling couldn't wait to get in the car when she saw everything being packed up. She was excited when we pulled into the show. She knows the ropes. We've always made the shows a fun venture for us all to do together. When it came time to go to the ring, Bling raised her head up to gladly allow me to slide the show lead over her beautiful red coat. Once in the ring, she ran like it was the biggest show she had been in. Her tail out and wagging. Bling knew her job. Bling loved every minute of being shown and she looked up into my face for approval of the job she had done. I knew she was the only veteran entered. I also knew she would not know she won a ribbon by default. Bling only knew that she received the same opportunity to strut her stuff as the puppy, Bliss, and she loved every minute of it. Thank you to the Irish Setter Club of Houston for hosting the show. Rich and I had a wonderful time. Bling and Bliss are still enjoying the toys Bliss won. It was a great day.
