Read a long with Bling

Hi Kids!

Do you want to read along with me and a class of 5th graders as we go on a journey with young Matt in the wilderness of Maine in 1768?


The book we are reading is "The Sign of the Beaver" by author, Elizabeth George Speare.   It is awesome.   Matt, a young settler, has met up with a Native American boy named Attean.  We are at chapter 10 and it appears the boys are becoming friends.   Hope you join us and read along!

Hi friends, It is time for this week's book review.   The name of this week's book is Interrupting Chicken .   The story is written and illustrated by David Ezra Stein . Last week my book review was also a chicken story.  Here we are this week with another chicken story.   I love chickens.  It is that simple.  They are fun little pets and they give me eggs for my breakfast.  Yeah.   Eggs are yummy.   This week's book, Interrupting Chicken, is about a little red chicken that interrupts her Papa when he is reading her bed time stories.   I have 2 red chickens.  Really, it is true.  If you look closely, you can see them behind me in this photo.  The first one is Tribble and the one behind her is Dr. Pepper.   They are two of my most favorite chickens.   I have nine.   That's not counting my new chicks!   Let's move on to our book review and stop me...

Bling receives a gift box from "Live Like Rue"

When Bling was first diagnosed with cancer we were told about an organization named "Live Like Roo." The organization is dedicated to supporting dogs who have cancer. The gift box was amazing. We were so very thrilled to receive it. Bling is enjoying all the gifts she received. We will definitely be supporting this organization in the future. Living with cancer is a roller coaster. Days can be clouded with discouragement and disappointment watching your dog and thinking about time. How much time do we have or do we not have? The good days are awesome but there is a tiny voice reminding you that your dog is sick. The bad days are dreaded. Overall, we just have to reach a point where we remember to celebrate each and every day as it is truly a gift from above. Thank you so much to Live Like Roo. This gift box was a wonderful surprise.
