The girls know the words to Bling's next book

In this video, I am reading the opening paragraph of Bling's next book (it is about Bling rescuing a kitten).  It is amazing how well our dogs know the words.   Bliss knows the word "squirrel" will be coming up and she gets all excited. https://youtube.com/shorts/8zoQvmuz8Pg?feature=share Enjoy our video - and please don't forget to subscribe to Bling's U-Tube channel. Bling Rescues A Kitten - the next book

Image
https://youtube.com/shorts/vpR31KMCvVY The kitten in this video was truly found and rescued by Bling.   The kitten is real life as well as in the book - is named Smudge.  In Bling's next children's picture book, it will be the story of Bling rescuing Smudge.   The details are changed a bit, but the story is true. I can't wait to share the book with Bling's fans and friends.   Enjoy the video and please don't forget to subscribe to Bling's U-Tube channel.

Bling Receives Medals - No Ghoulish Green Monsters Here - Next Generation Indie Book Awards

Image
I was really sad to miss attending the Next Generation Indie Book Awards celebration in Washington D.C. last week, but thrilled to receive the official certificates and medals for the two awards won. To win finalist awards for Best Illustrator - Children's Picture Book and Best Overall Design (Fiction) is overwhelming. I was surprised at the weight of the medals and their size once they were received. The Indie Awards spared no expense. Thank you to Next Generation Indie Book Awards. It is a great honor to win these two prestigious awards. Autographed copies of the book, No Ghoulish Green Monsters Here, (as well as the complementary coloring book) are available on Amazon and the book's website - adogbling.com Thank you for reading my post. Dawn Secord - and Bling - who also has autographed each book.

Bling at the Dog Show - Irish Setter Club of America National Specialty

Image
Bling has been so busy meeting people at book events, she just has not had time to go to dog shows.   She really loves dog shows, but there is only so much time in the day.    It has been a lifetime goal for Bling to retire from dog showing at a National Specialty in the veteran classes.   She was entered in the 9 to 11 year old girl classes.   To our delight, she won 4th place.   To everyone's delight - she decided to jump and play in the ring.   She has been sick and there are a few places on her front legs that were shaved by the doctors and her hair is still growing back in.  We are thankful it did not matter to the judge.   Bling ran around the ring like she was a year old.    Bling always makes us smile.   She is a rollicking Irish Setter and has fun no matter what she does. As of this dog show, she is officially retired from showing and turns the dog show events over to her younge...

Bling receives a gift box from "Live Like Rue"

Image
When Bling was first diagnosed with cancer we were told about an organization named "Live Like Roo." The organization is dedicated to supporting dogs who have cancer. The gift box was amazing. We were so very thrilled to receive it. Bling is enjoying all the gifts she received. We will definitely be supporting this organization in the future. Living with cancer is a roller coaster. Days can be clouded with discouragement and disappointment watching your dog and thinking about time. How much time do we have or do we not have? The good days are awesome but there is a tiny voice reminding you that your dog is sick. The bad days are dreaded. Overall, we just have to reach a point where we remember to celebrate each and every day as it is truly a gift from above. Thank you so much to Live Like Roo. This gift box was a wonderful surprise. We are currently working on a new children's picture book about Bling being sick. Through the bad there is always...
