Bling has a new groomer...Truffle the Cockatiel!

Bling has a friend named Truffle.  Truffle is a young cockatiel and is a girl.  She loves being out and Bling is her favorite pet in the house.   

Thanks Bling for being so sweet and gentle with Truffle.  You are a very good girl!

The kids get to meet Mr Beeps

Bling has a new pet, an English Budgie named Mr Beeps.  He is a character in her book, No Ghoulish Green Monsters Here.    We brought him into our family thinking how fun it would be to take him to book readings.  He is 3 months old and so very sweet. I did a book reading this morning and he was a huge hit.  Look for more photos of Mr. Beeps on Bling's Facebook page    Mr. Beeps went to the event as a surprise for the kids.  He was covered and they had no idea he was there.  When I started reading to the kids, I told them a pet from the book was with me,   After we were done reading the book, the kids could guess what character was there and then meet the surprise pet.  The kids had so much fun guessing.  We then had a wonderful interactive discussion about pets and pet care.
