Bling Receives Medals - No Ghoulish Green Monsters Here - Next Generation Indie Book Awards

Image
I was really sad to miss attending the Next Generation Indie Book Awards celebration in Washington D.C. last week, but thrilled to receive the official certificates and medals for the two awards won. To win finalist awards for Best Illustrator - Children's Picture Book and Best Overall Design (Fiction) is overwhelming. I was surprised at the weight of the medals and their size once they were received. The Indie Awards spared no expense. Thank you to Next Generation Indie Book Awards. It is a great honor to win these two prestigious awards. Autographed copies of the book, No Ghoulish Green Monsters Here, (as well as the complementary coloring book) are available on Amazon and the book's website - adogbling.com Thank you for reading my post. Dawn Secord - and Bling - who also has autographed each book.

Bling at the Dog Show - Irish Setter Club of America National Specialty

Image
Bling has been so busy meeting people at book events, she just has not had time to go to dog shows.   She really loves dog shows, but there is only so much time in the day.    It has been a lifetime goal for Bling to retire from dog showing at a National Specialty in the veteran classes.   She was entered in the 9 to 11 year old girl classes.   To our delight, she won 4th place.   To everyone's delight - she decided to jump and play in the ring.   She has been sick and there are a few places on her front legs that were shaved by the doctors and her hair is still growing back in.  We are thankful it did not matter to the judge.   Bling ran around the ring like she was a year old.    Bling always makes us smile.   She is a rollicking Irish Setter and has fun no matter what she does. As of this dog show, she is officially retired from showing and turns the dog show events over to her younge...
